Intermediate Painting with Acrylics
 
October 15, 16 and 17, 2025 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 1 to 3 PM

Learn to paint with acrylics on canvas with three consecutive 2-hour sessions.  No Experience Necessary! You will learn basic techniques of color mixing, brushwork and more, all suited to the featured painting. Build on skills learned in each class. Instructor supplied materials include brushes, paint and canvas.
Class Fee is $75 for Members ($85 for Non-members) plus a Materials fee of $25.

Hand Cane a Chair Using the 7-Step Method

Learn how to cane a chair using the 7-step method. Beginners level instruction on the steps, how to wet the material, and use the various tools will be covered. Class Fee per student: $200 members/ $210 non-members, plus Materials Fee: $45. Materials include 500ft of strand 
cane, 12ft of Binder Cane, 12 Caning Pegs, 1 Wood Handle Steel Awl, Reed Corner Plugs, instruction book, and HH Perkins' typed sheet of best practices. Students will need to buy cane cutters (aprox. $12) available at https://peerlessrattan.com/home/plato-cutters/

Absolutely Beginner Painting with Acrylics

Have you ever wanted to paint but didn’t know where to start? This 3-day beginner-friendly acrylic painting class is perfect for you!
✨ No experience necessary – even if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush before.
✨ Step-by-step guidance in a fun, relaxed setting.
✨ Learn the basics of acrylics, color mixing, brush techniques, and composition.
✨ Complete your very own finished painting to take home and be proud of.
By the end of this class, you’ll not only have a beautiful painting, but also the confidence and skills to keep creating. Instructor supplied materials include brushes, paint and canvas.

Intro to Stained Glass: Copper Foil Method
 
Instructor: Heidi Wurm
November 13 and 14, Thursday and Friday, 
Time: 1-4 p.m
 
Intro to Stained Glass: Copper Foil Method will teach basic fundamentals of the copper foil method. This technique involves cutting glass, wrapping each piece with an adhesive-backed copper foil tape, and soldering the pieces together to create stained glass panels, suncatchers, boxes, lamps, and more. Students will meet for two, three-hour sessions and complete a suncatcher. All supplies and tools for use during class will be provided.    
Instructional Fee: $100 (non-member fee: $110) plus Materials Fee: $30
Enrollment: Maximum 4 students; minimum 2 students
                     Minimum age: 18 years old. Sign up by November 1st to reserve a seat in this class.
